Each year alpacas are shorn. Ours are done in Early September. The sun is just starting to warm the ground after chilly Winter, when our team is shorn. So some nights after shearing are a little cool, but they all love the freedom or loosing their fleece.
Of course a rain and hail storm a couple of hours after shearing was a bit of a rude shock... but everyone, including the humans, survived unscathed.
